Make it your day at Fitzroy Inn.

A historic retreat with a silk-lined marquee, five acres of gardens and rooms for all your guests, so the whole weekend happens in one place.

Welcome

Everything for your wedding on one historic property

Five acres of gardens, an inn that has stood since 1836, a marquee lined in silk and a bed for every guest. Your whole wedding fits on one property, so the day never has to leave the grounds.

01 The ceremony

Say it under the oaks.

Choose the weir, the shade of our century-old oaks, the garden gazebo or the front lawn. Five acres, and you pick the corner.

If the sky changes its mind, the verandah and our sitting rooms are ready as a wet-weather ceremony. Prefer a church? We'll point you to the loveliest ones in the Southern Highlands.

02 The reception

A marquee lined in silk.

Silk lining, whitewashed timber floors and clear panels, so you can dine under the stars and stay dry.

Round or long tables, white chairs, bridal, cake and gift tables come with it. Upgrade to timber tables, bentwood chairs and lounge furniture when you want it softer. The historic house, with its light-filled atrium and conservatory, is the indoor alternative.

03 The photographs

Never leave the grounds.

From the Victorian house to the sprawling gardens, every corner is a backdrop. Your photographer won't need to drive anywhere, and you won't spend your day in a car.

Golden hour on the lawn, string lights after dark, the weir at the bottom of the garden: it's all within a few minutes' walk.

Since 1836

A wedding with a story to tell.

Fitzroy Inn began as a traveller's inn in 1836. Its convict-era kitchen in the cellars is hailed as one of the finest of its kind in the country, with a hand-cut water well carved into the shale beneath the building.

It later became a school, and claims Australia's first tennis court, built in 1875. After a careful restoration in 1999 it welcomes guests again, with old stonework and ironwork on one side and modern comforts on the other.

How far is Fitzroy Inn from Sydney?
